Long time no posts. Getting the Midget ready for the road. Need to repair some passenger side floor rust. Found a mouse make a home in the boot over the winter, cleaning that up, ate a big hole in the hood cover :(

2016-07-22 Brake lights not operating. Checked the bulbs they are ok. Will follow the wires and check the brake light pressure switch.

2016-09-22 Brake light update. Late update posting, found the brake light switch at the pedal box failed. Moss replacement ordered and installed. Brake lights working. Note - wires on replacement brake light switch are 20 inches long. The wires on the original switch are 6 inches long. I shortened the wires the replacement switch to 6 inches.

Planned repair to headlamp ground connector turned into a more with a repair to the cooling hose.

First - the RH headlamp was dimmer than the LH. The black wire connector located under the slam panel and behind the grille was corroded. Removed the grille and pulled the four black wires from the connector. Cleaned the wire bullet ends and pushed them into new connector lubed with dielectric grease. Headlamps done.

Second - checked all the fluids while the bonnet was open and noticed was low on coolant. Topped it off and started the car circulate the coolant. Once the engine warmed the hose between the head and water pump started to leak. OK there is the cause of the low coolant level. The water pump was replaced in the spring along with a new hose between the pump and cylinder head but not the clamps. The old clamps were used to keep original parts. The lower clamp was not sealing the hose. A new clamp is now on the hose is holding.
